Amazing stage presence is undeniable if you go to one show, whether or not you're a big fan of The California Honeydrops. The California Honeydrops bring the stage alive without a band or dancers, or fireworks. Every noise you hear comes from him as a one man band, and it sounds even better live than on the CD. His lyrics bring everyone in, and his song just comes to life in the arena, no matter how many times you've listened to it. He's incredible, there wasn't a moment when I didn't have chills.
The opening act was good too, Rudimental. They were definitely lively and entertaining, not my favorite. My bones are still shaking from their heavy bass.
As for the venue itself, nice place. Very clean, and most of the people are nice. Me and my friend waited in line for an hour. Once we got to the door, we were told we were at the wrong gate (we had GA and apparently they had a special door? HOW WERE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW?). So we were told by the nice lady to scoot into the side of the right line, since we'd been waiting just as long, if not longer than the people in that line. But, some rude worker stopped us, listened to our story, and yelled at us to go to the end of the line. Because of that, we got crowded in the middle of GA. Just as we were finally going through the door an hour later, he brought two girls who had been in the wrong line and put them in front of everyone behind us. It pissed us off so much! It was so stupid and unnecessary. But that's all on that man and not on the venue or The California Honeydrops.
